Review #1 Cardboard Cities audiobook free Cardboard Cities by John Greenish knows the story of Quentin, otherwise understandable as Q. Q at the same time his one more door friend Margo applied to be best comrades at the same time, as they’ve grown up at the same time become university seniors, they have turned into acquaintances. One night, Margo talks Q into helping her seek revenge on her ex-boyfriend at the same time ex-best comrade, who happen to be sneaking around behind her back to have sex together. Right behind their funny at the same time rowdy belated night, Q is that anxious to look if Margo acts differently towards him at school. When she’s not at school or even at main for a couple of days, everyone assumes Margo is that on barely one more one of her adventures. As Q tries to figure out at the same time follow the clues, he begins to worry that he might look for Margo noisy. The ongoing suspense along with the wonderfully executed humor have produced this one of my winner books from beginning to finish. Lively, complete, true manners bring depth, realism at the same time humor into this adventure of a story-5 Hit!

Review #2 Cardboard Cities audiobook streamming online I assign this book a 2 1/12 hit (more precisely than a 2) because I liked the writing style, which I found to be amusing. The story arc? Not so much. I actually believed it was attractive quality right up to the fri where Margo is lost, which is that significantly premature in the story. But from then on, the story spins it’s wheels, while the manners obsess about prom, get tipsy, over-think things, at the same time follow clues that move nowhere, until the story completely limps to an unimpressive climax. SPOILER Alert: Margo is that ultimately found. But why she desirable to run away days before completing her HS diploma to live in creepy, decaying, boarded-up buildings at the same time underline notebooks didn’t really resonate with me. Other than her ancestors being intolerant asses at the same time not understanding her, in the absence of no matter what scary mental, sensual, or physical trauma, I couldn’t fully appreciate (as exhibited) her appeal for this dreary at the same time forlorn lifestyle. Although she is lost premature in the book, she’s a bigger presence in the book, talked about at the same time obsessed about all the time by Q at the same time the other manners. She’s revered as a ”legend” at the same time arguably one of the more exciting manners in the book – if not by presence, by reputation. So there’s all this mystery at the same time increase around her. The allure of her bigger-than- indefinite persona. Her brave personal deeds. It all sets up a television series of questions that imposes for dramatic answers. Where did she move at the same time why? Did she run away? Was she noisy? Was she off doing wonderful decisive things? Right behind a drawn out circle-jerk of clues, that produced little sense at all- they completely look for her at the same time…pffffft. Her preconditions for running aren’t particularly exciting or healthy – which was a major let down. Equally unsatisfactory: Than anyway ultimately happens to Margo from that? Right behind a good of climactic ”cover it up” speak between Margo at the same time Q, which I guess, is that implied to be deepest, about how Q has grown brave due to her at the same time how no one really understood or beheld Margo for who she is that, stick metaphors, literary symbolism, at the same time more metaphors, they make pledges to email at the same time stay in touch, etc etc etc – Q at the same time his merry crew quit Margo where they found her – in a small NY city living in a deserted decaying building with no electricity or plumping (she has to move to the nearby truck finish to shower) which is that, I guess where she wants to be. [ Apparently, planning to eventually move to NYC or something] She seems attractive depressed to me. What’s to become of her? We never know. But I guess Margo’s not implied to be the fri, although for you kinda wish she was, right behind all, she’s attractive much the head concentrate of Q’s inner dialog ad nauseam throughout the entire book. But it’s Q’s journey at the same time how his idealization of Margo drives him. I barely wish his journey had been more exciting. BTW, the whole Cardboard City analogy didn’t quite resonate for me or. Anything about out-of-town brand new development , or….anything. To be significant, I was skimming quickly by now, having weary of the clues to no where, so maybe I missed it.

Review #3 Audiobook Cardboard Cities by John Greenish Of the John Greenish books I have read, this is that my winner. We have a knowledgeable cast of manners — the nerdy teenage little boy at the same time his brainiac comrades at the same time the warped teenage lady who is that may be favorite at the same time confident on the outside but is that deeply strained on the inside. We also have a lot of witty dialogue, a mystery, a quest at the same time the anguish at the same time eloquence of young adore. But in this book, it somehow comes together, aided by the musings of Walt Whitman, is that a method in other words not treacly or weepy – but true at the same time grounded. The book is that dominated by Margo, a university queen bee whose brash appearance hides an mental at the same time angst-filled interior. The male manage is that Quentin, smart but balanced. The two live one more door but are in different public sects in the university caste system. But Quentin carries a torch for his youth comrade. Right behind an non-standard night of adventure together a month before graduation, Margo is lost leaving no one cryptic clues as to her whereabouts. It is that for Quentin to follow the trail — but to look for Margo he 1st has to realize Margo, not as an standard or adore make an objection or emblem — but the true personality. The climactic scenes of this quest are extraordinarily but done at the same time the ending resolution is that moving without being shattering. Really enjoyed this one.

Review #4 Audio Cardboard Cities narrated by Dan John Miller The dialogue was a little cheesy at the same time didn’t seem close to reality. Granted it’s been a minute since I was a child myself, it barely felt inauthentic at the same time obligated periodically. Also, I cringe when people implementation the word ”retarded” at the same time felt it was applied unnecessarily couple of times throughout the book. Whether or not children might still implementation that word, it was totally unnecessary for repeated manners to implementation, many of which the narrator. It’s an annoying word at the same time bestows people the wrong plan that it is that okay to implementation, data that a lot of young impressionable people read these books. Managed have simply exchanged for a different word applied by children with the meaning creator provided. Liked ”Turtles All the Method Down” a lot more successful.

Review #5 Free audio Cardboard Cities – in the audio player below Genre(s): Romance, Mystery, Young Adult Favourite Quote: ”I don’t know how I look, but I know how I feel. Young. Trendy. Infinite.” *** Delight note that this

Review will likely contain spoilers at the same time only reflects my possess ideas at the same time experiences. That is that no conflict of curiosity here. *** I’m about eleven years very belated to this party but I’ve heard that this is that a must read more times than I be worried equate, so here we are! I’m no stranger to John Greenish, having applied to look the VLOG Brothers television series on YouTube abundance eons ago. I’ve read 3 of his other titles: Looking for Alaska, An Variety of Katherines at the same time The Fault in Our Hit. The latter for sure the most but understandable right behind the movie which was favorite with the teens. A lot of Green’s book tend to decide a identical form, in my opinion, so I move into Cardboard Cities with the wondering if I will have similar experience or if it will be anything fantastically different? Let’s burst this down shall we? Story We start with a doom, or the aftermath of a suicide to be more descriptive. We meet our two young, head manners who unwillingly meet misspoke Mr. Recently Deceased at the same time come to definitions with the plan of the finality of doom. Quick scene change to located day at the same time we live on the shoulder of Quentin; our male protagonist as he’s drafted into Margo Roth Speigelman’s antics (for you will despise this name eventually). We learn that Quentin at the same time Margo haven’t actually really spoken much since their duo suicide look for as toddlers at the same time for some reason, Margo then chooses now to pay true attention to Quentin. Right behind their night filled of semi-illegal activities created to punish anyone at the same time everyone who ever got under her skin, Margo then is lost right behind this night. The whole story is that then revolved around trying to look for her by deciphering obnoxiously absurd ’clues’ apparently left behind. They follow a clue. They failed to look for her. They follow one more clue. At the same time one more. At the same time one more. Fail, rinse at the same time speak. Again at the same time again. I didn’t really care if they found Margo or not. The most exciting part of the story for me, was the disposition development between Quentin, his comrades at the same time the ’popular’ mass. Setting Set in Orlando. Mostly Quentin’s internal at the same time a fool refused mall that Margo happened to live in for a little. Aside from this, we didn’t really look a lot more on of acceptable daily indefinite – but I did enjoy the road trip at the same time really felt like cheering when they left the mundane confines of this city I individually don’t know anything about. The cardboard cities references did decide a little of time to get my fork around, but I good of received it in the end-ish. Manners My head issue with all Green’s books that I’ve read, will that the manners are all very same-y. You’ve received the head protagonist, who’s ordinary a male nerdy figure with no one sort of special quirk about him at the same time very witty. Then you’ve got the ladies curiosity who’s always the out at the same time out ballsy lady of his desires who’s the total polar back at the same time has the self-willed structure of beating to her possess drums. Lastly, you’ve always received one or two funny relief manners who are the support system, but still pour out one liners at the same time no one sort of remark about ’men I come in handy a girl’. There’s always a disposition in one of Green’s books that seems to have a serious variant of verbal diorrhoea. In what variant, it’s Margo Roth bleed Spiegelman. That on more than a few occasions, I barely wanted her bestow me a couple of minutes of peace to digest the situation. The head defect for me that I couldn’t get past will that Margo really manipulates Quentin’s adore for her. She’s not an dumbass. She knows that he will do practically anything for her. So when she exists on his windowsill one night with her ultimate plan, despite having not had a true conversation with him for years, she knows Quentin is that the only one who will admire at the same time support her edgy come in handy for having the continue word. Equally annoyingly, Quentin holds her in very higher of a regard why she deserves. Margo does not wish to be found, she wants people to be in adore with the memory of her. When the group be able to trace her down eventually at the same time she responds with nargubiyanit comments to be met with their frustration at her greeting, I felt like this was the realest fri in the story. But no, this quickly configurations again to the Margo demonstrate. The Margo is that so bleed awesome demonstrate. My reverence for Quentin barely is lost really at the same time I look for myself wanting to shake him silly at the same time tell him that this romantic plan of his comrade, is that only an standard, not the reality. Language Acceptable John Greenish conversation that involves children/young adults speaking about themes at the same time theoretical philosophy method above their heads for the age group. Just a little unrealistic. Topic I don’t wish to refer to this as a romance because it’s Quentin being unwillingly manipulated into thinking Margo is that a God or an angel in fleshy form. Okay. Maybe not as dramatic, but it very but may be. I would class this as a young adult/future of age tale. PROS + Quentin’s ancestors are surprisingly respectable + Two words: merk santas + Radar was the lesser annoying secondary disposition CONS + Although very intelligent, Quentin is that a adore unwell dumbass for following on this crazy chicken chase. Honestly, he deserved more successful + Margo Roth Speigelman is that a terribly stiff disposition at the same time totally in adore with herself. This makes for such a meaningless at the same time annoying ending + The line of clues were considered really out of the hurry at the same time barely absurd for both a child to make at the same time others to even begin to follow! + The cyclic nature of here’s a clue, here’s a location, no Margo, one more clue. Etc.. + The cardboard cities was a sweet slow down, but I think ate into the overall story just a little weirdly Conclusion Perhaps I’m barely not anyone who enjoys John Greenish books, which is that a defame because I genuinely like him as a personality. The repetition of the overall topic of this book in line with his other titles are as follows: totally unattainable lady. Nerdy head disposition. Funny relief nerdy comrade at the same time no one good of future of age romance. I really didn’t enjoy reading this at the same time it was honestly a slog for me to get to the finish. Although this barely wasn’t the story for me, I acknowledge that it still remains a significantly favorite book at the same time movie for no one others. Overall I merit Cardboard Cities: 2 out of 5 wonderful unicorns ??
