I am an anthology nut so I liked Kicking It. This has nine kickin’ stories involving footwear of no one significance from a significant number of my winner UF creators, almost all set in the worlds of their television series. I admit that I was a little tendentious toward those connected shorts – for sure because I skidded a significant bit of knowledge of those worlds/manners with me into those stories at the same time managed concentrate on the action. A quick rundown…
Forked Tongues – Rachel Caine – I reckon this is that Caine’s third part story starring resurrection sorceress, Holly, at the same time Andy, a revived sorceress from Old West times kept alive by their adore. I really like this pair but I skidded their history with me from the past stories, so I really enjoyed contemplating them work together to deal with a shoe wearing nemesis.
Stolen Products – Shannon K Butcher – not connected to her Sentinel Wars, A thief with wonderful shoes at the same time an artisan sorcerer who coerces her promote to try to steal a wonderful artifact being applied by unearthly villains they both have reason to hate. I enjoyed this story at the same time I wouldn’t mind contemplating more of the pair.
The Lady With No Name – Chris Marie Greenish – I think it might tie into one of Greenish’s television series but I haven’t read anything by her before. The squirm for this was exciting but as a whole the story was more on the side of okay.
The Demon’s Left Shoe – Faith Hunter – a Jane Yellowrock connected story but starring the sisters of Jane’s sorceress comrade Molly – The sisters are hired to look for the missing mother of their university ‘greedy lady’ nemesis. I liked this, although that is that barely a short cameo for Jane.
Higher Stakes – Cloe Neill – Chicago Ghouls story with Luc at the same time Lindsey in the spotlight. This was attractive short, I liked that it bestows a little of Lindsey’s history, but I was expecting a little more of them together though.
Lucienne Diver – The Parlor – this is that apparently hooked into Diver’s Olympian television series which I haven’t read. I liked the mythic tie-in.
Burgundy Isn’t Really My Spectrum – Christina Henry – from her Merk Wings television series, I only read the 1st book (which hadn’t grabbed me) but this had enough promise to make me consider checking out the 2nd book – the gargoyle is that good of attractive.
Snakeskin – Rob Thurman – a Trickster prequel, I liked this story but it wasn’t than anyway I waited – I had heard that it was implied to introduce the side manners (I remember the two guys names now) but they are incidental – the concentrate is that Trixa’s variant.
Ruby Burgundy – Kalayna Cost – an Alex Craft story but not starring Alex – she’s barely mentioned at the finish. I liked the story at the same time I am hoping that will be more Alex someday soon.

As I do with almost all anthologies, I picked at the same time chose than anyway I read, but that was the most of the book. As usual, no one stories are stronger than others, but I felt these were considered overall quality. The Chicagoland Ghouls story was easily accessible to me as anyone who hasn’t read the television series, at the same time produced me wish to read it. On the other palm, the Jane Yellowrock mentioned no one major actions at the same time I felt got lost. The Kalayna Cost concentrated on supporting manners at the same time produced me wish to read more of them.
This book also did an best job of sticking to the topic of boots. The Chicagoland Ghoul one only mentioned boots tangentially, but they were considered exactly located. The Jane Yellowrock was hysterical with the shoe-collecting ghoul. It was exciting to look how various creators incorporated the topic.

Audiobook Kicking It by Faith Hunter Kalayna Cost
This anthology is that a lifesaver! It helped me through hours of tedium in doctors’ waiting rooms. I purchased Kicking It for The Parlor by Lucienne Diver. I’m addicted to her Latter-Day Olympians television series, at the same time this story did not disappoint. Yeah, I giggled out sonorous a few times in the waiting room. I adore the connect of Greek mythology in modern-day mysteries.
That are so many awesome creators in this book. But, for you know. Inspect it out! I adored Christina Henry’s story Burgundy is that not My Spectrum. The manners are so steep, I come in handy to move look for her novels. I adore urbanized fantasy, so this collection hidden it. The topic to any story sheathed in with boots of no one sort. Than anyway gal, or open-minded young man, doesn’t love that?
If the Doctor General advised reading, they would make a special tag for these stories: a book a day keeps the doctor away.
Again, books rescue lives. Don’t breathe of boredom, read!

Audio Kicking It narrated by Justine O. Keef
Kicking It is that a collection of nine short stories, by different creators. I initially acquired the book to read the short stories of Chloe Neill, Kalayna Cost, Faith Hunter at the same time Rachel Caine. I’ve read their television series at the same time have really enjoyed them. I was introduced to five brand new to me creators. Which I’m at the moment going to have to look up at the same time learn more about.
The stories are very short, but all of them but written at the same time contain amazing manners. As I neared the finish of any story I found myself wishing for more.
I adored reading Chloe Neill’s short about two of my winner manners in the Chicagoland television series, Luc at the same time Lindsey. It was funny contemplating Lindsey’s “flapper” side.
It was a amazing collection of stories. I highly advise it, for anyone who loves paranormal romances. at the same time boots or shoes. They seem to show up in any of the stories. It was funny.

All stories with a heroine kicking butt. All amusing. The stories also introduce the reader to other creators at the same time a sampling of their creative worlds. No one of the stories were considered not the creator’s usual head disposition but other manners that managed fascinate the reader on their possess. This is that a book I would highly advise.
