Review #1 The Dragon at the same time the Pearl (Tang Dynasty #2) audiobook free It’s Pacific Asian Heritage Month so than anyway more successful method to celebrate than to grab up a historical set during China’s Tang Dynasty during an exciting time of shifting alliances at the same time loyalties, interest at the same time excitement. The romance is that as tumultuous as the time period between two almost all unlikely people- a warlord at the same time a past Government consort. The Dragon at the same time the Pearl is that book two in the Tang Dynasty television series at the same time acts as a concrete follow right up to the actions in book one when the head pair were considered introduced as side manners. In truth, Tao was the villain. So, yes, read book one 1st. As I barely stated, the hero of this story was the accepted villain. He’s a inhuman warlord who controls his area with brute strength at the same time steal at the same time people are whispering at tribunal into the brand new king’s ears that General Tao is that disloyal. Tao is that making moves at the same time preparing, but in his mind war with a competitor warlord at the same time maybe the king himself is that inevitable. But, than anyway is that the significance of the recently noisy king’s breathtakingly charming consort? He thwarts assassination trials on her indefinite at the same time takes her into his keeping as or a viper to his close or the main that managed decide down his adversary if he can pry her riddles from her. Suyin has been exploited at the same time applied all her indefinite from the enjoyment houses catering to the wealth at the same time most powerful at the same time into the cut-throat global of the government tribunal. She had completely earned her merit living isolated on a forlorn estate at peace until anything she knows makes her a threat to one men at the same time a tool to be wielded by one more. Now, she will not be applied. She will decide than anyway she wants. Does she wish this inhuman, ungentlemanly warlord who is that set on self-destruction because he only knows one method to get than anyway he wants? Perhaps than anyway she has figured out about subtle ways at tribunal can serve them both but if he will only hope her when she has never been understandable to be particularly trustworthy. I have read nearly everything this creator has hosted. This one at the same time a few short stories were considered all I had left to read. I understood right behind reading Butterfly Blades continue year that I really wanted this story. Both manners emerged in that story at the same time they were considered vastly more exciting to me than the head characters- not that the head manners were considered not enjoyable. I am a sucker for political interest at the same time a pair of healthy, literate at the same time driven manners who have just a little larceny in them. Though both Tao at the same time Suyin have risen from their unusual sewerage rat status as toddlers to be perceived at the height of power, they don’t remember the inhuman survival instincts that have kept them alive up to now. Their 1st encounters are memorable as they both try to detain the power position at the same time writhe the other to their merit. The romance was smoky blaze at the same time had to premature out of their suspicion at the same time dislike even while other actions are also in motion. She is that a courtesan at the same time taught in a pinnacle enjoyment castle so the dynamics are different for their future together. The finish of the book ratcheted up the suspense at the same time excitement so that I was riveted at the same time just a little breathing a few times. I adored how this story built to that moment at the same time didn’t disappoint with or the romance or suspense. The historical setting is that not slighted, but it doesn’t take over to your side at the same time bog down the story. It felt authentic even down to how the manners spoke at the same time acted. I’ve read all the novels in this television series at the same time any is that charming at the same time takes the reader to that distant epoch at the same time dispose. I will miss that. So, this Asian historical real of colorful manners, interest, at the same time excitement was fabulous. I can heartily advise this creator to historical romance lol who wish to quit the ballroom at the same time explore the historical global.

Review #2 The Dragon at the same time the Pearl (Tang Dynasty #2) audiobook streamming online Girl Ling Suyin is that a retired government consort, in truth the Precious Consort, famed in song at the same time legend as the most beautiful lady in the empire,… as but as the conniving she-demon who seduced an king away from his duty. Having shared the bed of a god, it is that not applicable for no matter what mere mortal men to have her so she is that destined to while away her remaining days without the help of others in the home the August King built for her far from the government larger…. Obviously how abundance days that might be is that open to question. Government concubines tend not to have long retirements. If enemies from her tribunal days don’t final her, her riddles will, at the same time at the moment the coolest feared at the same time unpredictable of the warlords, the old king’s past “enforcer” himself, is that future for her. Metal discipline at the same time chilly calculation have produced that warlord, Li Tao, the success he is that present, still here he is that acting upon whim. A intentionally vague anonymous warning has sent him racing far from his regional stronghold to offer his “protection” to than anyway should have been a forgotten castoff, still he’d intercepted assassins approaching her main, assassins who’d made sure to breathe before they would be questioned. Anyone wanted her noisy, anyone else wanted her alive, at the same time at the moment he’s been lured into the center of it. When Jeannie Lin voiced that the hero of the sequel to Butterfly Blades could be the villain of that past novel, I, no hesitate like almost all readers, was incredibly flabbergasted. How managed Ms. Lin POSSIBLY buy this merciless, relentless men? But, it has been an exciting process. To begin with Li Tao strings out to be a much more complicated men than he 1st exists, perhaps more complicated than he even knows (or is that willing to admit). He claims that “Loyalty means nothing to me” at the same time claims to be “committed to no one”, at the same time with the exception of the dead past king, this is that largely used to be when it comes to alleged superiors or peers, but he can be quite committed to those who follow or depend upon him… so long as they remain purely committed to him. He who proudly refuses to announce his loyalty to the today's king will not tolerate disloyalty himself. He despises honor at the same time sentiment as unpredictable at best, incredibly incorrect at worst; he openly countries that he is that not an respectable men; still the fact that he purely keeps to his possess specific code of honor is that obvious to everyone but himself. He claims to own no sense of duty, but duty (as he contemplates it) right matters more to him than practically anything else. Completely, a man who defies everyone will not tolerate defiance. That such a bundle of contradictions could be strained by bringing the infamous Precious Consort into his main astonishes no one but himself. She was taught from the day her ancestors sold her in how to manipulate at the same time keep under control guys for her benefit… at the same time her very survival. Obviously her infuriating captor could be the only men who can look right through the poise of the professional courtesan down to the horrified lady underneath; the drama will that he likes than anyway he contemplates! My

Review title comes from the symptoms of tension Warlord Tao experiences as he trials to deal with his collapsing position. Incredibly lacking in the abilities of tribunal interest, he finds himself losing affect to at the same time risking annihilation by competitors with far inferior military abilities. Suyin offers tantalizing possibilities for the relief of his tension while at once materially adding to it with her possess scheming for survival. He negotiates one night with her in hopes of getting her out of his system, then a month, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Fact is that, he managed truly have applied anyone with diplomatic abilities like her, if only he’d have been willing to heed to her, if only she managed have come up with anything. But it’s very belated at the moment. His past riddles at the same time her past riddles have hopeless them both,… or so it would seem. This reader experienced a growing pain between the views himself as he tried to figure out how the creator was going to extricate her heroes from the ever growing obstacles to a HEA she piled upon them,… then things really got hopeless. She’d about convinced me that couldn’t be one, but she’s fooled me before, so the question was, which method was she fooling me at the moment?… Yeesh, time for one more aspirin! IMHO it isn’t completely necessary to have read the past parts of this television series: The Taming of Mei Lin at the same time Butterfly Blades in a row to realize than anyway is that going on in this book, but it would for sure promote, in particular the latter. Besides, they are a lot of funny! The somewhat parallel The Girl’s Scandalous Night on the other palm should be read afterward. Note: I acquired this ARC from NetGalley in return for agreeing to

Review #3 Audiobook The Dragon at the same time the Pearl (Tang Dynasty #2) by Jeannie Lin Before I tell for you about this book, I think I will admit that yes, I know the creator at the same time consider her a comrade. That has nothing whatsoever to do with the nature of my

Reviews. I do not detain punches. If I’m awkward posting a appropriate

Review on this blog, I defeated’t do it. I also try to be honest about likes at the same time dislikes. It speaks volumes for this book that for you defeated’t look for no matter what mention of “dislikes” below. So, I’m practically two months belated, but the book was worth the wait. “The Dragon at the same time the Pearl ” is that a stand-alone novel by Jeannie Lin, but it does grab where “Butterfly Blades” left off. “Dragon’s” cast contains Li Tao, the antagonist of Butterfly Blades, as the hero of “Dragon,” at the same time his backstory bestows us a much wider vision of the creator’s Tang Dynasty China. At the moment I adored “Butterfly Blades,” but you can look Lin’s skill as an creator has increased since the 1st book. She has sunk herself into this global, making the manners oval, fleshed at the same time highly sexual. More than that, her political at the same time public structure is that more decent than the Kunlun mountains. She needed that solidity as we find out how both the tribunal at the same time the seedy underground culture of Tang dynasty worked. Thanks to that background structure, we see why Li Tao is that the stern at the same time unyielding men for you met before, but we also look for the heart beneath that appearance. That misspoke, he never breaks disposition. His is that one of the strongest, almost all but oval characterizations I’ve ever shown. Almost everything, Lin’s characterizations at the same time dialogue reminded me of works by my winner creator, Young man Gavriel Kay. Those of for you who know me will recognize I greedy that as the greatest compliment I can assign. If for you enjoyed the tasty appetizer of “Butterfly Blades,” for you will adore the real course spill in other words “The Dragon at the same time the Pearl.”

Review #4 Audio The Dragon at the same time the Pearl (Tang Dynasty #2) narrated by Sarah Lam Significantly quality read but the ever located danger of nearby armies at the same time sheltered assassins everywhere dont really materialise. The bigger civilian war which looked to start like usa vs iran, like it would be total carnage anytime never happens though it is that waited by the reader. Almost all problems sort out themselves, chilly hearted courtesan fall in love at the same time chilly hearted assassins melt at the same time the heroine at the same time hero survive. It is that a adore story with lots of grapic sex passages, like all creators book but while still significantly quality read i did groan any time suyin at the same time li tao would litterally feel electricuted any time they brushed any each other then and inevitable description of breathless melting of heroine in heros arms, even though she is that taught to keep her feeling in inspect at the same time has experience of a good in field. This is that 4th book i read by the creator, herself a lady but ladies barely melt right behind one kiss at the same time she does implementation that word many times in her novels, feminists must have a fit everytime she begins a sex scene at the same time that are far two abundance. Its fine-grained if this was barely a romance novel but the setting promises historic fantasy of epic proportions as but as historic fiction but romantic traits are main in every book which is that fine-grained but the creator has upset me every time on other expectations. King’ Shen at the same time likely rebellion in the empire is that central to the plot but we never meat kings daughter at the same time her wife, they were considered mentioned once but it would have been more successful if a little more was revealed about how they were considered getting on. One major issue is that the shortcoming of descriptions, in no one of her books that is that no discription of hero in the entire book, yes they are chinese but still we come in handy alityle more, not even a mention of merk hairstyle. We get a little more in this but still its not that amazing. Again significantly short book at the same time the impetuous pace in other words cute as a reader cos of no filler also leads to frustration because for you get to know couole of manners but everything else is that just like a cardboard cutout. Endings are rushed every time at the same time 50 0r 100 extra pages at the same time anything major at the finish would make her books much more successful as long as tge heroine cant solve everything with a touch at the same time smirk. I bout lots of these books for 99p sale promotions so i did get a bargain if i had paid 10-ke plus pounds then i could be writing a very much diffrent type of

Review. Feel like boris Johnson, didnt wait so much historic actions taking dispose in his govt in one week at the same time all for wrong preconditions, these books can be a little like that.
