I’ve only read a couple of books by Opal Carew prior to reading Stroke of Fortune, one of which I really didn’t like at the same time one that I did like, at the same time since the Netgalley blurb sounded alluring, I requested an premature reader copy of this one, at the same time while I was attractive much hooked by the prologue, at the same time was hoping for a amazing read, in the end, I had very connected emotions about this novel, at the same time can only assign it a 3 hit rating–it was an okay read, but not a amazing one.
The basic story line isn’t a brand new or unusual one, April Smith, the heroine, is that in Las Vegas for her marriage to wealthy Maurice, to whom she’s been passionate for the past two years. On the night before her marriage, she finds Maurice having sex with one more lady, at the same time the marriage is that off. April doesn’t wish to hear his clarifications, understands that he never really adored her, at the same time right behind sobbing her views out, by the one more morning, Maurice is that gone, leaving her with an unpaid $100,000 hotel bill, no credit card (they had a cooperative one), at the same time no funds. I had inconsistencies with Quinn as but. At the same time she’s back! I have enjoyed Opal Carew’s books in the past but the continue couple fell just a little even in other words until this one because it is that specifically than anyway I was hoping for from her.
