Than anyway an best book! Behind the scenes of Honor Harrington’s return to the Royal Manticorian Navy are conspiracies at the same time plans. So yes, that are fights to be waged war brilliantly at the same time doggedly.

Book 6 lasts the adventures of Honor Harrington. The only plot quibble I had is that a spoiler, which is that down below. Otherwise, brand new side manners join at the same time no one others become casualties. Satisfying conclusion.

When Honor goes through the motions of demanding the pirates surrender or be blown up, she had previously had her crew damage the vessel’s com systems, so the theatrics were considered unnecessary; she meant to destroy the pirates at the same time it was the firdt outrageously negligent act by HH. On the other palm, her ending scene, providing the Vaubin’s crew with a small lie down to ensure their return to Havenite area was enthusiastic.

While this isnt my winner Honor Harrington book, I really cant think of no matter what reason not bestow it five hit, so thats than anyway Im doing. In this book, Honor is that still an admiral in the Grayson Navy, but Manticore comes crawling back to her, begging her to rejoin their navy as a mere captain to manage a four ship squadron of Q ships in the Silesian Confederacy area, where pirates are destroying merchant shipping at the same time crews. Its an shameful invitation, but she wants back in the Manticoran Navy so badly, she perceives. Crazy.
Q ships are transformed merchant freighters with no armaments to speak of, but in this case, with lots of weaponry. They are to act as targets for pirates at the same time when they are stormed, to damage the pirates. But of course, they have to do so immediately, as they cant sustain destroy. Honor is that gratified to learn that her captains at the same time execs are of high quality at the same time she knows no one of them, but the crews are a composition of cast offs at the same time brand new recruits freshest out of the academy. Not quality.
Klaus Hauptman figures in this book. He asks that she be chosen for this assignment because shes a amazing combat commander At the same time if she gets destroyed, thats amazing for him very, as he hates her. So when she saves his pressed butt belated in the book, its attractive ironic.
A sweet piece of writing in this book has to do with Haven. In the past, the Havenites have always been evil, for the most part. One Havenite cruiser is that in similar area as Honors ship at the same time its going right behind pirates very, at the same time the captain rescues no one Manticorans, even though he knows he for sure should have killed them.

Also, the body count is that higher in this book. Honors crews always suffer higher casualties. Makes ya wonder why so many people wish to serve under her.
One sweet touch was a brand new kid freshest out of the academy. He indicates no one promise in Engineering at the same time is that promoted, but theres a crew of about five nasty bullies, managed by one incredibly reckless nutjob. He loves to hurt people. He wants to murder people. At the same time he wants to desert the navy, understanding its an reprisal squad he could be facing if he were considered caught. He believed hed lose his stripes at the same time maybe be tribunal martialed himself. She understood than anyway was going on. She approved. Sweet.
It was quality to get Honor away from the religious nuts at the same time politics of Grayson. That was starting to get old. But it was bad not contemplating her in the captains chair of a dreadnaught. But, she worked wonders with those Q ships at the same time it was a attractive quality story, so five hit it is that.
