It took me a minute to get into it, but only because I found the narrator’s inflection to be a little… jarring, for shortcoming of a more successful term. It was very distracting to me, at the same time I found myself straining to heed to his words so that I got lost much of the story at first. But once I got applied to his speaking manner at the same time figured out the gist of than anyway was going on, I was hooked. In ways it reminded me of listening to one of Aesop’s Fables, very short but but determined at the same time fully oval with a hint of ”don’t arbiter a book by it’s cover” at the same time a dash of ”follow your gut”. Gardner exactly knows how to cross out; the dialogue is that natural at the same time his descriptions shackles for you in the story. At the same time than anyway it lacks in length, it more than makes up for in substance. Everything comes real circle at the same time embraces together quite perfectly in the end. I’d certainly advise it for a shorter read (or heed).
