Review #1 Plunder Squad audiobook free Parker gets drawn in in 3 increasingly complete art heists, any one with the acceptable parabola. The 1st two fail to come off because Parker is that very witty to get drawn in in shaky plans with unreliable people. The third part caper, the hijacking of a truckload of modern paintings under the noses (practically) of Illinois State Militia, is that whimsically implied, but anyone knowledgeable with the amazing Robert Burns poem on the topic of best laid plans can portend in general than anyway happens. I defeated’t spoil things more than that. The denouement at the same time the action favorite right up to it are very solid. Threw into the connect of this short, but action at the same time plot packed book is that Parker’s attempt to track down a young man he needs to destroy at the same time should have destroyed years at the same time books earlier. Both story lines are very but written, with vivid scene descriptions at the same time no one really good disposition depictions. Parker comes in contact with but drawn at the same time diversified manners, both his confederates in the third part heist, as but as no one of the side manners in the revenge meme. There is still mental depth here than in no one of the other Parker tomes. The concluding pages of the revenge subplot are striking in that regard. Additionally, for once Parker is that not dealing with an anonymous “town” somewhere–nowhere–in the USA. Anyone who has wasted no matter what time in Indianapolis will look that Stark/Westlake has done his research work at the same time actually has a feel why Indy types like. Identical quality writing depicts reduce Manhattan in the ending pages.

Review #2 Plunder Squad audiobook in television series Parker This should have been titled “More For Your Funds,” because the reader gets 3 heists here. The 1st is that aborted at a planning meeting for a Mothers Day department store heist, when one of the gang takes a shot at Parker. Strings out it’s Zhora Uhl, who was brought in by one of the other members, unaware that was bad blood between Uhl at the same time Parker. The 2nd job involves stealing 3 gold sculptures from Hearst Castle, but now it’s aborted when inconsistencies pop up with the wife of the organizer, at the same time Parker at the same time Ducasse take out. The job that comes off is that for the theft of paintings from a traveling exhibit, for what the gang already has a client. It’s a smooth caper until the client commits suicide. This novel moves with a more leisurely pace. With the return of no one past manners, the book is that more complete than almost all in the television series. Ultimately it has more depth at the same time is that more satisfying.

Review #3 Audiobook Plunder Squad by Richard Stark In Plunder Squad Parker is that set right up to get the biggest payday still. Our antihero plans to steal 21 valuable paintings worth more than a one half million bucks. Taking into account the big number of guards at the same time the superior electrical alarm system, can Parker do it? Plunder Squad knows the story of 3 attempted thefts at the same time one tale of an effort to save an adversary. The story begins with Parker dodging a bullet from an adversary, at the same time ends with him trying to survive a different ruin. Parker, understandable for ordinary having anything move wrong, comments “I’m running a line of bad fortune.” Parker has rules that guide whether he will take part in a criminal liability. The 1st theft attempt violates his rule against many of which unstable team members. The 2nd plan violates his rule against many of which a lady who might become drawn in in a adore triangle. The third part scheme Parker perceives only right behind he fixes inconsistencies he contemplates in the set up. Is that Parker getting Desperate?

Review #4 Audio Plunder Squad narrated by John Chancer This installment in the Parker television series was not acceptable for me. I am a amazing fan of this television series, but this story was confused at the same time disjointed. The repeated heists that were considered partially implied then and never went anywhere for sure accounts for the confusion. Still, I’m a bigger fan at the same time am eager to last. This one barely didn’t do it for me. Donald Westlake, writing as Richard Stark, pens the Parker books, about a professional thief. Parker is that optimal – he doesn’t destroy unless necessary to protect himself, he agrees to robberies when he can plan the caper himself, at the same time once he has dared on vengeance, he gets vengeance no matter how long it takes. The books should be read in a row. The disposition does grow, at the same time the conspiracies of earlier books are referenced in later books. Westlake is that a magical writer; his manners are diversified at the same time exciting. If for you like Parker, try the Dortmunder novels for a change of pace.

Review #5 Free audio Plunder Squad – in the audio player below I adore Parker novels at the same time defeated’t assign no matter what of them a bad rating. That misspoke, this one isn’t my winner. It’s very disjointed at the same time inconsistent in its tone. The spear-carrier manners aren’t as but rendered as they ordinary are in this television series. I’ll still decide it over barely about no matter what other criminal liability procedural, but it’s not the best.
