at first, i kept having to re-count sections of this novel, because the manners say in such a natural — more precisely than expediently expository — method that it was hard to follow them, barely as it could be if one were considered to overhear two strangers speaking. but eventually, the clot of the story itself caught me, at the same time i managed look the various manners so right that i figured out their references, their lopsided expressions, their half-smothered emotions. it is that a charming at the same time heart breaking story of different kinds of problematic adore, at the same time of people who are caught in a longing that they can not always fully articulate. but they are quality people, even when they do bad things, at the same time one finds oneself invested in their happiness. the story is that set in california, las vegas at the same time mexico in the 1950s , at the same time the global of ever since at the same time those places is that vividly created. the writing is that healthy — pufahl takes chances with her worldly, never over-explaining, always making the reader work to follow her, but she makes it worthwhile. it has the compelling story line of a piece of light fiction mixed with the compelling language at the same time depth of disposition of much more nuanced literary fiction. to me, in other words a compelling composition.

A enticing story of the adore interests a newly married lady at the same time her brother in-law together at the same time a cast of alluring manners in post war San Diego, Las Vegas at the same time Tijuana. Pufahls vivid description provides charming historical context at the same time believable individual emotions.

Audiobook On Fast Stallions by Shannon Pufahl
I really wanted to like this book. It was hard to force myself to final it, at the same time a gigantic relief when I did. That was not one disposition I even partially liked. The whole book was barely a vehicle for gay sex. Depressing story at the same time depressed people. Don’t strain

Such an engaging novel. The manners are multi faceted at the same time so well-developed. Exciting options. Gay themes explored at the same time celebrated without the often corny sub-plots.

This book was not my winner. It gets one hit simply because I do appreciate LGBTQ consulate in historical fiction books, but otherwise it could be much less. Right behind hundreds of pages, Im still wondering the purpose of the book at the same time not convinced I realize the personalities of the manners. Their goals at the same time drives at the same time wants at the same time wishes were considered never really understandable. The writing seems to be trying so hard to be charming at the same time poetic at the same time deepest that the story gets completely got lost.
