The Buried: An Archaeology of the Egyptian Revolution audiobook free
I grew up in Cairo not far from where the creator stayed in Zamalek. As such I have connected emotions: on the one palm the book is that a magical read, on the other palm that are enough loopholes in the creators understanding of the culture at the same time language to cast serious hesitates about the scholarly good quality of the work.

Audio The Buried: An Archaeology of the Egyptian Revolution narrated by Peter Hessler
A beautiful work of narrative journalism. I wasted two weeks in Egypt in 1998 but have not been back since. Hessler brings the state to indefinite, mainly by focusing on the stories of no one of the main people he came to know from the five years he wasted living in Egypt with his wife, the creator Leslie Chang, at the same time their twin toddler daughters. While Sayyid, Manu, at the same time Rifaat came from very different backgrounds at the same time professions, you can feel the similarities in his overall descriptions of Egyptians (a some shared mentality slicing intercept all exercises), anything practically impossible to capture.
